The Opportunity

Cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in Canada, and Niagara has become one of its proudest homes.

The Mayor's Cup gathers that energy into a single landmark day that fills the ground with players, families, and supporters from across the province and beyond. In 2026 the tournament returns bigger, now running as a full day and night event on the 25th of July.

Last year the tournament welcomed teams from across Ontario and even a visiting side that flew in from the United Kingdom. Floodlights carried play into the evening, and every match streamed live on YouTube to viewers who could not make it to the ground in person.
